Privacy Policy
This policy explains what DailyGames collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. DailyGames is the app and the service at dailygames.homepokerbank.com. It lets you record daily puzzle results and share them with groups you join.
Information you give us
- Account. You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive the identifier that provider gives us and, if you allow it, your name and email address. We store a display name you choose.
- Profile. You may add a photo, a short bio, and a visibility setting (anyone, people in your groups, or no one).
- Scores. When you log a result, we store the game, the day, the score, the share text, and the summary shown on leaderboards.
- Extra play details. For some games the app can also save details that are not part of the public score, such as the words you guessed. Those details are used for your own statistics. They are not posted to your groups with the score.
- Groups and messages. We store the groups you create or join, invite codes, chat messages, comments, reactions, and competition standings.
- Suggestions. If you suggest a game, we store what you send.
Information collected as you use the app
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store an Apple push token so we can alert you about scores, comments, reactions, and chat, according to the settings you choose for each group.
- Presence. While a group screen is open, other members of that group can see that you are there, and whether you are typing in chat. We store a last-active time for your account.
- In-app game pages. Playing a puzzle opens that game’s website inside the app. A script in that page reads today’s result so it can be logged. For Wordle it can also read the words you played. The script does not receive your DailyGames password or sign-in token. The game website itself is run by someone else and has its own privacy policy. DailyGames does not collect your device’s location.
- Play screen, when a review is on. If we turn on a review for your account on one game, the app takes pictures of the DailyGames screen while that game is open, about once a second, and again when you take a screenshot. Each picture is stored with the time it was taken. We use this to review play. It is the app’s own screen, not your other apps, and it stops when you leave that game. Those pictures are removed if you delete your account.
How we use it
We use this information to run your account, show scores and statistics, deliver group features, send the notifications you turned on, keep the service reliable, and respond to deletion requests. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Who can see it
People in a group can see scores you share with that group, and the chat, comments, and reactions in that group. Your profile follows the visibility setting you choose. Email addresses are not shown on other people’s profiles. Invite codes can be used by anyone who has the code to join that group.
We use service providers only to operate DailyGames:
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple and push notifications.
- Google, if you sign in with Google.
- Amazon Web Services, to store profile photos and, when a play-screen review is on, those screen pictures.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the service, our users, or someone’s safety.
How long we keep it
We keep account, score, and group information while your account is active. If you delete a score, a message, a comment, or your photo, we remove that item. If you request account deletion, we sign you out, stop notifications, hide your profile, and then delete the account and the personal information tied to it, including scores, messages, and photos. Messages or scores that other people need in order to keep a group working may remain without your name, or the group may be removed if you were its only member.
Your choices
- Change your display name, bio, photo, and who can see your profile in the app.
- Choose which games are shared with each group, and which notifications you want.
- Turn off notifications in iOS settings.
- Request deletion of your account in the app.
Children
DailyGames is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of DailyGames after the new date means you accept the updated policy.
